About the company
Welyk is recruiting on behalf of Digital Pills, a consulting company focused exclusively on data, based in Turin with around 30 people. The company covers the entire data value chain: data strategy, data engineering, analytics engineering, BI and data science, and over the last two years it has significantly strengthened its AI practice. It works with large international clients (including HelloFresh, Airalo and Last Minute) and Italian enterprise brands, and is pursuing an international expansion. It also dedicates a significant part of its activity to the non-profit sector, including pro bono projects for organisations such as AIRC and Save the Children.
Digital Pills recently received an investment from RIF-T, a vehicle controlled by Equiter and funded by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, to support its scale-up phase and its evolution towards a model based on proprietary accelerators and products. Within the company, the Martech team covers the entire marketing data chain: data collection on web and app, server-side tracking, consent management, data activation and modelling for marketing optimization, and it is one of the areas where recurring patterns across projects become reusable solutions.
What you’ll do
Be the technical reference of the Martech team and coordinate its community of practice, supporting and growing the two specialists already on the team
Lead the most complex analytics implementation projects for web and app environments, from design to production, with tools such as Google Tag Manager client and server side, Google Analytics 4, Adjust, Amplitude, Piwik
Stay hands-on: work directly on implementations, especially during peak periods
Follow 2-3 client projects in parallel, managing relationships with stakeholders, including senior ones: understand the problems, propose solutions and explain them effectively
Carry out audits of clients’ entire Martech infrastructures and propose architectures to improve them
Manage the project side: estimating activities, planning, allocating team members
Support client managers in pre-sales, translating business requirements into technical architectures and realistic estimates
Together with the CTO, turn recurring patterns across projects into reusable frameworks and accelerators
Requirements
At least 6 years of experience in MarTech, digital analytics or advanced analytics roles, of which at least 2 at senior level (technical ownership of projects, mentoring junior profiles)
Solid web and app tracking experience: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and app analytics tools such as Adjust or Firebase. This is the core of the role: if you know these tools well, the others are quick to learn
Experience with server-side tracking, particularly for marketing optimization
Knowledge of CMPs (Iubenda, OneTrust or similar) and CDPs (Twilio Segment, Bloomreach, Hightouch or similar)
Advanced SQL and familiarity with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake or similar), data modelling on GA4 and Adjust raw data
Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (GCP, Azure or AWS)
Ability to validate data correctness, detect inconsistencies and reason about metric definitions and data reliability
Fluent Italian (projects are largely with Italian stakeholders) and C1 English
Nice to have
Experience with other analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Posthog, Matomo, Adobe) and data activation platforms (Klaviyo, Braze, Salesmanago, Treasure Data)
Knowledge of Python and JavaScript for analysis and automation, Git and maintainable code
Background in consulting, agencies or product companies with a structured MarTech practice
Experience with international stakeholders
You’re the right person if
You know the tracking world from the inside: you can design a data collection setup for web and app, you understand why a number doesn’t add up, and you can explain it to non-technical people. You’re comfortable in front of a client, even a senior one: you listen, understand the real problem and propose a convincing solution, without being intimidated. You enjoy helping the people around you grow and coordinating the work of a small team, but you don’t want to stop being hands-on. You have a pragmatic approach: you produce a lot without waste, you don’t let important details slip through the cracks, and you raise your hand when there’s a problem you can’t solve alone. You’re curious about turning the know-how gained on projects into reusable solutions.
